This was the year I learned to play tennis. I was dating a tennis pro, who was a very good teacher. Sadly, I never got very good. The lessons stopped when we broke up. *wink* And as much as I enjoyed playing, I never followed up.
This photo was taken at a pro-celebrity tournament in Macon Ga. Had I been able to serve, my team actually could have placed.
Aside from having some of the best soul food I have ever tasted, this tournament is memorable because I got to hang out with the great Hank Aaron and the great Franco Harris. In addition, I met the wonderful Shirley Hemphill, Lyle Waggoner, and “My other brother Daryl.” Forgive me for forgetting the names of the others in the photo.
