GAY WEDDING CAKES AT MUSLIM BAKERIES?

All hell has broken loose in Indiana.  Opponents of the state’s new Religious Freedom Restoration Act are charging proponents with hatred and bigotry.  Some of those opposed have promised to boycott the entire state, others have threatened proponents with physical violence.  On the other side, many of those in agreement with the act have responded with charges that the opposition is hysterical and ignorant while some have wondered if so much vitriol isn’t just cover for anti-Christian bias.

“Why,” they ask, “is there so much focus on the willingness of Christians to service homosexual weddings and zero on other religious groups?”  Good question!  What would happen if a gay couple asked a Muslim baker to bake a wedding cake for a gay wedding?

We all know the answer, but just for fun, let’s watch:

And let’c be clear, there is absolutely NO reason that any of these bakers should HAVE to service a homosexual wedding or ANY wedding if they don’t want to.
Notice also that there were Muslim bakers who were willing – most were not, but some were – which means that everyone needing a cake from a Muslim baker (or a Christian baker) will be able to find one.
Last question:  Why aren’t non-religious people granted the same freedom?

Please let’s wake up and recognize before all of our liberties just walk out the door.
