1 pound ground beef
3 large onions — sliced
1 large green pepper — chopped
1 can tomatos
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Brown ground beef in large skillet. Drain off fat.
Add onion and green pepper and cook until onion is tender.
Stir in tomatoes, rice, chili powder, thyme, salt and pepper. Heat through.
pour into ungreased 2 quart casserole. Cover and bake 1 hour.

NOTES:
You can use more chili powder if you want it spicier.
