This cocktail recipe for a ginger beer margarita is shared courtesy of the Minimalist Baker.
I love ginger beer, so I was looking for a cocktail recipe that combined ginger beer with one of my favorite spirits. I came across this odd recipe for a ginger beer margarita and decided that I had to share it with my readers. The drink is described as, “Perfectly sweet, tangy from the lime, crisp from the ginger and, well, perfect,” and it’s darn near close. if you’re looking for a unique and delicious drink to serve to your guests, this is perfect.
Ginger Beer Margarita
- 1 1/2 oz Good Tequila
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 3 oz Ginger Beer (I recommend a nice dry Jamaican beer)
- 1 tblsp Simple Syrup
- Course Salt for lining the rim of the glass
- Lime wedges or wheels for garnish
Fill a large glass or cocktail shaker half way with ice. Add the tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and the ginger beer. Stir, but DO NOT SHAKE the mixture to fully blend. Strain the drink into a salt rimmed glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.
