I’ve been doing research, trying to understand the net neutrality issue. I have looked at videos from both sides. Frankly, so much information has often done nothing but confused me more. Ultimately, there was one maxim that I have accepted as truth that I used as a guide: The more that government controls industry, the more that industry has a vested interest in controlling government. The sure way to bring about corruption and vice in both government and industry is to intermingle the two. As for the future of the internet, I believe that what all of us would most want is a long-term solution as opposed to a short-term fix, which is what this net neutrality appears to be.
The following is a terrific video. I found it informative and of all the videos I’ve seen, perhaps the best and least biased explanation. I say least biased, but not completely unbiased. The video is also long. I suggest watching the entire thing, or fast forwarding. There is a ton of information, but then, when it comes to this issue, there is a ton to think about.
