On a hot day there are few things more refreshing than a tall glass of ice cold lemonade. Add an ounce or two of gin and a bit of seltzer water and you basically have the cocktail known as a Tom Collins. The cocktail is simple and quite refreshing.
- 1 1/2 ounces Gin
- 1 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup (about a Teaspoon)
- club soda
- Lemon slice and maraschino cherry for garnish
Fill a cocktail shaker half full of ice.
Add the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Shake until frosty.
Strain contents into a tall glass half filled with ice.
Top off with the club soda.
Garnish with the lemon slice and the cherry.
Enjoy!
