PINA COLADA

The Pina Colada is a classic rum cocktail created in Puerto Rico in the mid 1950’s.  The Pina Colada is typically made with white rum, but can be made with dark rum, spiced rum, or coconut flavored rum.  Of course, there are also many variations of the Pina colada made by substituting either the rum, the cream of coconut, or the pineapple juice.

Pina Colada

  1. 1 1/2 oz Coconut Cream such as Coco Lopez
  2. 1 1/2 oz Pineapple Juice (you may substitute 1 1/2 TBL crushed pineapple)
  3. 1 oz Light Rum
  4. 1 oz Coconut Rum
  5. Pineapple wedge or Maraschino Cherries for garnish

Add all ingredients to a blender, add a cup of ice, and blend until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and garnish.

The Pina Colada can be served frozen, or Shaken and strained into an ice filled glass.

Enjoy.
