BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

  1. 10 large raw Shrimp (tail off)
  2. 5 slices Applewood smoked Bacon (cut in half)
  3. 3 cups Vegetable Cooking Oil (do not use Olive Oil…It will burn)
  4. 10 (12″) Wooden Skewers (soak in room temperature Water for 30 minutes)

Heat Oil in a medium sauce pan, over medium high heat

Rinse Shrimp in cold water, pay dry with paper towel

Season Shrimp with Salt & Pepper, then wrap with one Bacon half, secure with Wooden Skewer

Deep fry Shrimp, until Bacon is golden brown and crispy (do not over cook)

Drain finished Shrimp on paper towels

Serve Bacon wrapped shrimp hot with your favorite sweet sauce

Sweet & Sour Dipping Sauce

  1. 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  2. 1/3 cup Distilled White Vinegar
  3. 2 teaspoons Cooking Oil
  4. 2/3 cup unsweetened Pineapple Juice
  5. 2 Tablespoons Heinz Ketchup
  6. 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  7. Pinch Kosher Salt

In small saucepan over medium-low heat, whisk (using a metal whisk) together Vinegar and Cornstarch

Add Oil, Pineapple Juice, Ketchup, Brown Sugar, and Salt; whisk constantly until mixture is blended and completely heated.
